On May 28, 2026, Edinburgh, Indiana made history. ChampionZone Virtual Golf & Patriot Café celebrated its official Grand Opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony — and the community showed up in a big way.
Fire trucks. Flags. Families. Neighbors. Business owners. Chamber members. Veterans. It was one of those days that reminds you why small-town Indiana communities are something special.

The Ribbon Cutting
The official ribbon-cutting ceremony took place at 4:30 p.m. at 3258 Market Place Drive — right next to Indiana Premium Outlets. The event was open to the public, and the turnout was overwhelming. The City of Edinburgh showed up. Local families and friends packed the space. Neighboring businesses came out to celebrate. Chamber members were on hand to welcome ChampionZone into the community officially.
And yes — there was a fire truck with a giant American flag. It was exactly as epic as it sounds.

"We're creating a very family-friendly destination for sports entertainment. We really want to cater to kids, to beginners." — John Fairbanks, Co-Founder & CEO
Folds of Honor Indiana Was There
From day one, ChampionZone has been more than a golf venue — it's a mission. The presence of Folds of Honor Indiana at the grand opening made that crystal clear. Every round played at ChampionZone supports educational scholarships for the families of fallen and disabled military service members. Having Folds of Honor on the floor at the ribbon cutting wasn't just symbolic — it was a statement about what this place stands for.
What Makes ChampionZone Unlike Anything Else in Indiana
For anyone who hadn't yet stepped inside, the grand opening was a first look at something truly one of a kind. The 12,900-square-foot facility includes:
• 7 Golfzon NX simulators — the same technology used at the TGL Golf League
• 300+ world-famous courses including Pebble Beach, St. Andrews, and Shinnecock Hills
• Patriot Café — full café and bar with indoor and outdoor dining
• 44 flat-screen TVs including a 17-foot LED screen
• An outdoor fire pit lounge shaped like the Folds of Honor emblem
• The SCIF — a private event room for corporate meetings and groups
• The FOB — a casual lounge for walk-ins waiting for a table or bay
• A kids menu and family restroom with baby changing station
• A Missing Man Table honoring fallen service members from all six military branches
Edinburgh's Newest Community Gathering Place
What the grand opening made clear is that ChampionZone isn't just a business — it's a gathering place. The kind Edinburgh has been ready for. Whether you're a golfer, a family looking for something fun to do, a veteran, a local business hosting a team event, or someone who just wants great food and a cold drink with 44 TVs — there's a place for you here.
We are so grateful to everyone who came out on May 28. To the City of Edinburgh, the chamber, our neighbors, our Folds of Honor family, and every single person who walked through those doors — thank you. This is just the beginning.
