Every time someone books a simulator bay at ChampionZone, grabs a meal at Patriot Café, or joins a league — something bigger happens. A portion of that visit goes toward an educational scholarship for the family of a fallen or disabled military service member.

What Is Folds of Honor?

Folds of Honor is a nonprofit organization founded in 2007 by Major Dan Rooney, a PGA golf professional and F-16 fighter pilot who served three tours in Iraq. On a flight home from a deployment, Major Rooney witnessed the flag being folded over the casket of a fallen soldier — and made a commitment that changed the course of his life.

The mission of Folds of Honor is simple and powerful: provide educational scholarships to the spouses and children of America's fallen and disabled service members. Since its founding, the organization has awarded more than 44,000 scholarships across all 50 states.

Why This Mission Matters

When a service member is killed or disabled in the line of duty, the impact on their family is immediate and lasting. Spouses lose income. Children lose a parent. Dreams that were once on track suddenly feel out of reach.

Folds of Honor steps into that gap. The scholarships they provide don't just pay for tuition — they restore possibility. They tell a Gold Star family that their sacrifice was seen, that their future matters, and that their country hasn't forgotten them.
