On the Front Line of History: Join ChampionZone for a Free 9/11 Tribute Event with Major General Mark Pillar

Most of us remember exactly where we were on September 11, 2001. Major General Mark Pillar (Ret.) was somewhere very few Americans ever stand — inside the leadership response to that morning's attacks, alongside other General Officers as the nation confronted a crisis without precedent.

On September 11 at 12:00 PM (noon), he's joining us at ChampionZone to tell that story firsthand — a chronological, in-the-room account of how that morning unfolded, from the first reports to the unprecedented grounding of American airspace. This event is free and open to the public. No ticket, no reservation — just come.

General Pillar brings 37 years of Air Force service and 5,300 hours as a command pilot to this presentation, including time as Vice Wing Commander of the 507th Air Refueling Wing and Commander of the 434th Air Refueling Group, with missions flown in support of Desert Shield, Desert Storm, and the Bosnia No-Fly Zone. His decorations include the Distinguished Service Medal, the Distinguished Flying Cross, and the NATO Medal.
